"Galang" and "Hombre" are great songs. The rest of the album is pretty spotty. She's gonna have to work harder next time if she wants to justify all that hype...

Incidentally, there's also a pretty good German band (among others) called MIA.

I think her stuff (what I've heard anyways,) is really great. She's not like anyone thats around now, once again, that I have heard, plus she's a woman "mc". Props.

I don't get the whole thing. I've made up better lyrics on a belly full of Gem Clear, and the music is far too over-produced, and not even in an inspired, Of Montreal sort of way. Nothing redeeming about it, in my mind. It's a TRL-topper that hasn't quite taken off yet.

I'm definately not her biggest fan. Not sure, I think it's just that I can't stand noise.

I DLed the album, listened once, and deleted it. Way over-rated.

In theory, I should dislike MIA with every fiber of my being.

In Reality, I find her to be very catchy and entertaining.

I like it.  Then again, I also like Kevin Martin’s take on roughed-up dancehall under the Bug moniker.
