1Ghz 12" Al Powerbook
768mb ram
GF5200FX vid (I forget the mem)

Its playable.  But it definately not my cel-D 2.8ghz PC with Ati-9800.
It chokes when flying into Ironforge.  Stormwind isn't as bad, but Ironforge used to be death to my PB.  one of their recent updates seems to have fixed this a bit for me.

Its a known issue that Macs currently get about half the performance as PCs on WoW.  This of course has nothing to do with the Mac, but with the code optimization on WoW.  More time and money is spent on the PC version, and it shows on the Mac side.

Blizzard is supposedly working on this.

I'm not comparing my PC to my mac.
The half perf diff is if you compare a mac to a comparable PC.
Like if I compared my PB to my kid's 1.26ghz P3 PC with GF4MX.  That'd be more comparable, but the PB will probably still be slower for WoW than my kid's.

PB's aren't going to do much for WoW, but they are playable.  Maybe after a bunch of updates, it'll be on more equal terms, but for now, you'll have to turn a bunch of settings down.  I've seen bench marks of the 15 and 17" PB's that don't look much better than the 12" models.

Basically if you want pretty gaming, you may be better off with a PC of equal pricing.  If you want a better laptop with less issues, PB's are good to go.  WoW will play, but i wont look as nice as on an equal priced PC.

Dual 2 gigahertz G5
1.5 gigs of ram
ATI Radeon 9800

and I have a Yahoo SBC DSL connection.

don't know FPS, but it runs flawlessly, the only noticable lag is on sunday afternoon in IF between the AH and the mailbox.

not to brag or anything :P.
