The Aquabats are like my faveoritest band eveeerrr! It is because they are so "super rad."

they are coming out with a new c.d. "Charge" i can't wait. june 7th.

But it's a GREAT song, regardless.  Though, I do kinda miss the horns they used to feature, oh so beautifully.

I've been to two shows and i would say DO NOT MISS AN OPPURTUNITY! I love the Aquabats. And i missed the goddam christmas-stravaganza where That 1 Guy opened for them. Boo hoo.

For favorite song, I'd have to go with either Pool Party (for pure lovability), or Danger Woman (because it rocks ass, rocks even more ass live, and is fun to play), or Anti-matter (because it has le catchiest lyrics).

Anywhichwaywherehowwhatever... eveyone loves a good ol' bats show. I'm definately hitting up one or two this summer.

i heard them a while ago on the net, and they're great! nobody else i knew even knew what ska was. shame... they sure as hell know now.

They don't release anything in Aus, well nothing that i've heard of so far!

Fearless is a shitty label and they let a lot of bands releases fall to the way side for some screamo shit that no one really wants to listen to.
Aquabats, 30 Foot Fall, and At the Drive In were all victims of their narrow realease range in favor of 10 more cover CD's to sell at Hot Topic.

So much of ska is like that.  It's emo, only instead of crying in the dark, we say "Fek it, let's dance."

I agree that that is a fine song, but personally my favorite ATM is either Pizza Day or I Fell Asleep on my Arm.  Both are incredibly silly songs.

Am I the only here who hates them?  They annoy the crap out of me.  Like Catch 22 and Less Than Jake, all that poppy ska that makes frat boys think it's ok to mosh.  Not my cuppa.

And, I even have to see them this summer as much as I dislike them. (playing w/ The Epoxies). maybe a live show will change my mind..

My favourite remotely ska song is 'Ska Sucks' by Propaghandi. That said, 'I Fell Asleep on my Arm' is a goddamn awesome song.

Less Than Jake and The Aquabats are 2 totally different brands of ska: sucking and non-sucking, respectively.

I just plain don't like Less Than Jake. Never have.

My favourite Less Than Jake record is Borders and Boundaries, where they basically don't play any ska. But their earlier records do have some good songs, I think Losing Streak is probably better than Hello Rockview. But yes, a lot of their songs just aren't really that good.

You're not the only one that hates them for sure.  My friend was pretty into ska and he really hated The Aquabats.  But also, I don't think I've EVER seen Catch 22 and Aquabats compared in just about any sense.  Catch 22 is much harder core that Aquabats, who are much more poppy/bubblegum happy stuff....

Meanwhile I like both bands a LOT

No, no, no. See I LOVE ska.  Hell, my first professional tattoo was of walt (the 2tone guy) and margaret on my ankle.  And I still hate them. >_<
