"Romantic" comic?

Hmmm... I wonder what Jeph thinks of this.

I only wonder because I've never really seen QC as a 'Romantic' comic...

QC got nominated for Outstanding Newcomer, Best Reality and Best Romantic last year - didn't win anything.

This year's nominees seem more diverse - last year, the awards were dominated by a few comics - mainly Penny Arcade, Megatokyo, Mac Hall and Scary Go Round. However, this year I'm noticing a lack of Sinfest, of which I'm a big fan. Grrr.

I am surprised that Wigu didn't get nominated for anything.

I love that strip.

Sweet, A Lesson is Learned but the Damage is Irreversible is up for a bunch of stuff. They're basically the best web comic ever. Yeah, sorry Jeph.
Hopefully both QC and A lesson is Learned will win mad awards.

Wow, it was weird this year. QC is the only winner I had heard of before (actually, I'd also heard of Scary-Go-Round). The usual big winners like Megatokyo and Penny Arcade got passed over. That's a good thing, I guess; the unknowns get some recognition.

I'm still disappointed that AppleGeeks didn't even get a nomination for some art award. I love that art, man.

I have to agree. It is disappointing that it wasn't even nominated. In some online interview, it was said to be the equivalent to Mac Hall, yet with frequent updates and a slightly different style. I think they also made over $1000 in two art auctions.

I have actually heared of most of the webcomics listed, since I'm a webcomic freak (24 saved to my favorites list).

I took some time to vote this year and discovered a couple of new comics in the process!  I was disappointed that some of my choices didn't win, but I am rather glad that Beaver and Steve won best newbie.  It is perhaps my favourite webcomic.

I discovered Count Your Sheep through this. It's pretty fun, and almost painfully cute. I a good way, I mean.
