making fun of bands that are oftentimes already made fun of, in ways that have al ready been done?  sorry to be an asshole but when i hear OMG CREED SUX
OMG AVRIL SUX
GOOD CHARLOTTE ARE SO BAD.
its annoying.  take your random negativity and do somethign good with it.  i dont like any of those bands others, but its such a waste of time and energy to randomly bash on whatever.  While on this board there is much slighter chance to have fans of those bands, you might get in the habit, and some people are completely fine with the music you like, and its generally assholish

If I were a mod, so help me, I would end this thread and burn you on fire.

Nothing's wrong with random negativity. It's just people venting, which is healthy, by gosh. And people don't just dis bands generally accepted as shitty, they dis eachother's music too. The internet is just a great place to vent. Accept it, or go hit a pillow with a baseball bat.

I was using the irony to allude to the fact that sometimes (read:oftentimes) I am just as bad as some of the others who frequent this froum. And this particular little explanation is not meant with any sarcasm. It's true, we all have our moments were we get all crazy and shouty and immature... but it is fun...

... right? I mean, if it weren't fun... people wouldn't go on these forums

Why can't people say they don't like music on a music forum. I don't get it? It doesn't matter if someone said they didn't like a band that shouldn't mean somebody else can't say they don't like it either. Maybe i'm totally missing your point though.

Really I think what he's trying to say is:  it's better to compliment/find new good bands than waste time talking about why bands everyone already agrees to be bad suck so badly.

see, i have nothing against commenting on negative aspects of a band and their music. HOWEVER it's when it gets to comments like these where people feel the need to put others down to assert their own "good taste" in music, that i have a problem.
