So I made this mix cd a couple of weeks ago, and everyone who listens to it has become suddenly obsessed with the softer acoustic type indie stuff I listen to. It is rather surprising. Anyhow, I thought I'd share the tracklist with you guys in case you're looking for stuff to listen to. :-) (though I'm sure many of you have heard most of it)

1. Elliott Smith - Twilight
2. The Decemberists - July, July!
3. Radiohead - True Love Waits
4. Iron & Wine - Upward Over the Mountain
5. Erin McKeown - Slung Lo
6. The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies)
7. Bright Eyes - Poison Oak
8. Elliott Smith - Say Yes
9. Sufjan Stevens - To Be Alone With You
10. Iron & Wine - Promising Light
11. Simon & Garfunkel - Bleecker Street
12. The Arcade Fire - Wake Up

If you've made a mix that met great success please share :-)

Quite recently one of my friends was scrolling through my mp3 players genre thingy, was heard to remark "What the hells all this folk stuff you listen to?"

This is the CD I presented to him the next day:

1. Finntroll - Kyrkovisan
2. Ewigkeit - Strange Volk [Edit]
3. Cruachan - Ride On [feat. Shane MacGohan]
4. Bathory - The Sword
5. Skyclad - Prime Evil [Venom Cover]
6. Subway to Sally - Böses Erwachen
7. Forefather - To the Mountains They Fled
8. Nokturnal Mortum - The Funeral Wind Born in Oriana
9. Of The Wand And The Moon - In A Robe Of Fire
10. Wuthering Heights - Bad Hobbits Die Hard
11. Inkubus Sukkubus - Song to Pan
12. Waylander - King of The Fairi
13. The Clan Destined - Swinging like Judas
14. Isengard - Vinterskugge
15. Agalloch - Kneel to the Cross
16. Korpiklaani - Crows Bring the Spring
17. The Lord Weird Slough Feg - Sky Chariots
18. Nazgul - Hult-Garth
19. Orthaugr - Der Weinende Hadnur

The sound of his mind exploding was audible across the town. I hope to have more success with it in the future.

Also, if any of you are particularly interested in getting your arse pwned seven ways to sunday, that is the list to download. I may send it, or a modified version, for the next mix-tape swap.
