So I just picked up Transmetropolitan TPB 1 and loved it, and I think I'm going to have to read that series.  

I've come to realize that the extent to which I have to be interested in something before I'll buy it is proportional to the number of issues currently in print.  WHich makes sense because I can't afford to get into a lot of long-running series.  This is why I don't own the Sandman TPBs, and this is also why I haven't bought Powers TPB 1 yet.  

Is it worth it?

I starting getting all of the Powers trades a few months before the last issues came out on Image. It is definitely worth it. There really aren't that many Powers trades. Well, actually I guess they are up to 8 of them now...  I think there were only 4 when I started buying them, and then I got the rest as they were published.

But anyway, yeah, it's a great read.
