Probably better off checking the er....Hague site.

The source i've got them from doesn't have dates, but I checked the Rescue Rooms website and there was a date.

Ah, the indy shuffle.  Hands in your pockets, or arms crossed.

Now put your weight to your left.

Put your weight to your right.

Apologize for touching the person to your right.

Nod a bit.

Repeat.

There really isn't any chance that either will sell out and have to add an extra date is there?

Decemberists maybe? Actually they didn't even sell out some shitty little nowhere venue last time when they played with The Unicorns and I don't think they've got all that much bigger since then.

Hmm...this ain't fun. Although I get the feeling my girlfriend won't let me decide in favour of Of Montreal so this might be made quite easy.

I kind of imagine self-conscious drunken jigs going on. The indie version of a culture fest. Without the weird foods.

Why can't decent bands ever do a North American tour. I'm stuck with going to emo concerts with my friends, whilst all the other Indie kids get to go to Decemberists and The Arcade Fire and other good stuff. I hereby deem this all not fair.

The Arcade Fire are doing a pretty Canadian tour as we speak. Their even going to Saskatoon, which isn't exactely a cultural oasis. You gotta remember though that not all communities can support indie shows for bigger bands like that.

Rescue Rooms is always 18+

But you'll be with me, so you'll probably get in. That being said, they never ID anyone at the RR anyway, so aslong as you lot don't act ridiculously immature you should be ok.

The more I think of it - and the more I listen to them - the more I feel like going to the Brussels concert. One of my new year's resolutions for this year was to do lots and lots of concerts, but so far I've been to 2, if I recall correctly. (Wow do I ever suck at resolutions huh!) Time to redeem myself, I say.

I'll probably have to go alone since none of my friends are into that stuff, and even then I'll have to leave early to make it back to the train station, otherwise I'm stuck in downtown Brussels for the night. Not cool. But still, who knows it might be worth the effort.

Would it be worth the effort? :P

I am SO either at Nottingham or Manchester.

Nottingham's a bit closer, I think (I'm in Stafford), but I have family (two sets of aunts, uncles and cousins) pretty close to Manchester...

I think I'll go to Nottingham. See you there, Sturge?

I just saw them last night, and I have to say, it was the best show (and the funnest) I've ever had the pleasure of attending. I was definitely swooning over Colin Meloy the whole time. About half an hour after the show, I saw Chris Funk come out the back exit and walk down the sidewalk. I wonder where he was headed.
