Hosting advice. << Problem solved...I hope.

My site just went down this morning and I need to find a new host. I don't really know anything about hosting since for the last 3 years my friend has hosted my sites for free. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Right now I only know GoDaddy, since I bought my domains through them.

GoDaddy has a $10 a month plan for 2gigs of space and 100gigs of transfer. Anyone know if that's a good deal?

EDIT: So I found an "Economy" plan for $4 a month (500mb, 25gig transfer) and I'm pouncing on it.

Sorry for asking a question and then answering it myself so quickly. I was in a bit of a panic.
