need advise...or possibly a sensei
« on: 03 Oct 2005, 20:38 »

Ok, I'd like to try my hand at making web sites and stuff like that, but I have basically no clue what i'm doing. I took an HTML class in highschool, but i forgot most of it. I'd just like to know of any books, or programs (for windows), or reference websites that I need to check out. or, i'm open to suggestions on good starting points.

That's a pretty useless answer.  That's like telling someone to google it.  That's fine for certain topics, but for web design there is way too much crappy info available, and there's no way for a beginner to weed out the good from the bad.

It's for kids but it makes it a darn sight easier to understand. Also, as a tip i reccomend learning CSS once you've picked up the basics of HTML. Nowadays CSS and HTML go hand in hand, and by learning it from the start, you won't have to deal with relearning things a completely diferent way further dow the line.
