A friend of mine's friend actually has the entire Earth address (ie, all 7 symbols) on his arm.

I shall endeavour to get a picture of it sometime today at the party.

I'm getting a tattoo soon, and maybe you guys can help me out with the decision making process of where it should be

The Tattoo will be the Polish Coat of Arms, and there is a very interesting legend behind it. I'm Polish and this is obviously something that'll never change about me, but the tattoo is also about defending what I believe in, and the people I love.

It looks like this:

I'll be getting it in Black ink with no shading, and Plan to get it on my ribs below my left pec, Kind of on my side... I want to get it pretty big because I like big tattoos.. small ones seem pointless for my purposes.

Any tips or ideas about where I should get this tattoo?

I think that would actually look pretty cool if it were large enough to sort of wrap around your side.

I'm assuming when you say where, you mean what shop? If so, I've never heard a bad word uttered about King of Fools in Toronto.

If you are talking about placement, I've always been a big fan of large backpieces.

My arm, just after I had it done (hence the redness). I'm thinking of getting it extended down to my wrist.

Ooh, very cool! ...Taking it down to your wrist might be a little over-kill on it in my opinion, but if you like it, go for it.

Thank you! I'm kind of thinking of having it develop into roots and maybe some more plant life on my forearm, so it probably won't be the same design all the way down but I think it'll just be more leaves and swirls as far as my elbow. I've got a while to think about exactly what it'll be until I'll have the money to get it done.

I have the power symbol on the inside of my wrist.

I've been contemplating getting a hand print (about 2"-3" wide) on my shoulder, but i haven't come to a final decision on that one yet.

I want to get an old school typewriter on my arm, with the word "Faith" written on the sheet.

I've been contemplating getting a stylized dna strand breaking apart, but I haven't found any drawings that I like, and I suck at drawing so that's completely out of the question. If anyone can find (or draw) a good rendition I'll give you a prize... of... smiles?  :-D

Honestly, your best bet is to go to a tattoo artists and discuss it with them. Just have a clear basic idea and you'd be amazed what they can do with a bit of time and your input. :)

i've sketched out a variation on the eternity knot that i want to get on my upper back at some point.. i'm still debating wether to get just the black outlines, or fill it with a color or two. this is the original knot:

and this is my version (the sketch is neater):

yo bainidhe_dub

did you ever consider getting the original one on your shoulder? I think round tattoos look awesome there. Especially that one, mind you.

does that have any relation to the buddhist Endless knot? where does that design come from?

cheesepie- i like the original ok, but it's just a piece of artwork that pops up on the first page when you GIS "celtic knot". i want something a little more original than that. but i like symmetry, including on myself, so probably 'no' to the shoulder idea.

Flamel Cross from Fullmetal Alchemist on the inside of my right forearm. Yes, I know, nerd.

I'd like to get it touched up, there's a couple of spots that need to get a bit cleaner. Also, I think I'd like to fill it in again, there's color missing in some parts. Other than that, I'm really happy with it.

I have that on my right shoulder blade. I plan on getting two sleeves, a chest peice, and a leg peice by the time I am done.

Someone posted a Polish Falcon earlier, I am also getting that. I don't know where its going to be ,but there is going to be a banner under it with some dates on it. My next tattoo will probablly be a giant dead tree going from my ankle to my knee.

I love that Dark Mark tattoo!

I am real Harry Potter nerd.

I don't think Dan Radcliffe is hot...ewy.

I'll post a few pictures of my tattoos when I can be bothered to resize them, and put them on photobucket.

I have a nautical star on each wrist.

My star sign on the back of my neck.

And I recently just got a dark cloud with lightning on the lower part of my back.

I have many many plans for more.
