I gots me a power button.  Not the most original, but I like the inherent geekiness and the placement.

Okay, this is really stupid.
But I totally want "SUNSHINE" tattooed on the bottom of my foot.
Twelve point times new roman. ;d

That way, I'm always "walking on sunshine!"

Not to mention that tattoos on the bottom of your foot don't usually have a great amount of staying power.

Well, this is a tattoo that seems worth redoing every once in a while. It can't be too expensive.

I fail at the internet. There are two links. Fixed.

They look really painful. I mean, just putting pressure on my eye hurts. But it is also very interesting.

As far as I know, it still in extremely experimental stages. I think they successfully colored one eye in fully.

But I haven't been paying much attention to it. I could be mistaken.

Yeah, only one has been completed thus far. I know there is a solid red and a solid black one in the process of being done.

http://modblog.bmezine.com/2008/05/13/more-on-eyeball-tattooing/

Personally, I'm very very interested in seeing how all these turn out.

Having had Lasik and various other thingies done to my eye, I kind of imagine there's no pain whatsoever, just an uncomfortable pressure.

I say this because at least to me, most of the point of a tattoo is for the artistic value. Therefore, in every tattoo, I search for artistic value. With eye tattoos, I see none. I probably should not be looking for any though, since it is not a normal type of tattoo. I am just really not sure what to think of an eye tattoo.

THE FUCKING SEX

The art of body modification is to make deliberate changes to your body. Maybe these people have deep, personal reasons for tattooing their eyes, or maybe they just wanted to push some technical, personal, and social limits. Maybe they think it looks cool and felt like doing it. I think it's a bit of both, but I don't imagine it's some great artistic statement.

I don't think I could face getting a tattoo, even though I'm not remotely scared of needles or bothered by injections. Just don't like the idea of the way they're applied.

Surely the point of a tattoo, mostly, is that you yourself like looking at it? That's why people choose a design they like themselves. So eyeball tattoos basically don't have the same purpose as all other types of tattoo.

Although I know I'll never get a tattoo, I do know what I'd get if I did. If that makes sense. Just the outline of a heart, and two smaller hearts overlapping it, on my left wrist. Sometimes I draw it on with a pen, but I'd never actually get it tattooed there because I think "What will that look like when I'm eighty and have wrinkly wrists?"

Like a tattoo on an 80 year old with wrinkly wrists.

Alternatively, you will look like an 80 year old who lived their life, and wasn't afraid of taking risks.

Speaking of face tattoos, has anyone every seen Shannon Larrat's(of BME) face tattoos? They look pretty nice. When I first saw this picture I didn't even notice the. They just sort of look natural, I guess. I love white ink. It always looks great.

(I'm certain you've seen them already, but still, they are quite nice)

Psh I know all about mirrors, I saw one on tv once.

My friend is getting a tattoo, it sounds pretty cool, all flowers and thorns and stuff, specially designed for her. Should look great.

I think this thread may not be my spiritual home, so I shall return to just lurking and looking at the photos instead.

I hope you weren't offended by my comments. I was trying to be encouraging. Not trying to say "You fail at life because you won't get a tattoo" I can understand not wanting one. I don't have any right now, mainly because I can't settle on an artist.

I'd still like to have something done with my caffeine chemical structure done but honestly would kind of prefer to do so when I had a better understanding of Chemistry

As amusing as the the whole "made somewhere some year" tattoo is  wtih my morbid sense of humor I'd think I get an expiration date.  Also for just random cool looking shit someone mentioning the book Rant reminded me I love the cover art.  Which after looking around was the cover to one of the Flight comic collections or something like that.
