Never understood what everybody found so funny about the original, have no plans to see the american version.

I love the Office.
I love Gareth, and David Brent is my hero.
It was just beautiful British comedy *sniffs*... Painfully hilarious.
I haven't seen the American version though.

I'm a huge fan of the original, and when the American version came on, I was excited. I checked out the first episode, where they basically ripped off the British one wherever they could, and I wasn't really enticed. I never really watched it after that.

But, recently, I have been hearing good things about it and that they have gone away from the original, so I may have to check it out.

Yeah, every episode since the pilot ripoff has been original. The second episode in particular is hysterical, the one about "Diversity Day". It's almost painful to watch. (But in a good way.)

Have to agree that I loved the British one, when the American one came on I was brutally dissapointed .... I mean the americans just can't do british humour and it came out looking totally lame
