I've been super excited about Age of Empire III since it was announced, and now it's out! I'll be picking it up this weekend.

Im still drooling over Kingdom Hearts 2 and Shadow of the Colossus.

HAAALLF LIIIFEEE 2.... I wanted that game forever, and just recently got to play it. New computers ROCK.

Sadly, I will need to upgrade before I play some of these, but...

F.E.A.R.- Hyper realism mixed with creepy as shit surrounds and bullet time? Count me in.

Rise of Legends - Sequel of sorts to Rise of Nations, this time with wacky fantasy and steam punk goodness. I mean...c'mon. Steam punk RTS...sold.

Civilization 4 - I am Sid Miers' bitch.

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - I loved the first one to death, so, being the good little consumer I am, I frothe at the mouth in anticipation of more Scandinavian adventure. I mean the director of the project is Ragnar Tørnquist. 'Nuff said.

I don't want to be cliche, but I can't wait for FFXII, and for FFIV to be released on gba.

otherwise, I’m interested in the new expansion pack for battlefield. I haven't heard anything good (my room mate is an ea tester) but it will give me something to do for a while.

I waited a long time for Quake 4... I'm not sure if I am disappointed yet.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but realistic this game ain't. It's still pretty awesome, though. It more than lives up to the Monolith standard.

Right now I can't wait for Oblivion. I loved Morrowind, and Obsidian looks like it's setting out to rectify every complaint I had about it. I hope my system can handle it.

I'm also looking forward to a game that hasn't even been officially announced: I remember seeing, a while back, a screenshot of a project in its infantile stages of development at Obsidian. This was right after the cancellation of Fallout 3 and announcement that the development reins would be assumed by Bethesda, and Bethesda's subsequent announcement that they intended to completely butcher the game. I know that a lot of the people at Obsidian and Trokia, companies made up largely of Black Isle refugees, were angry that the development duties were not given to them, and I saw a screenshot on a forum somewhere - not sure whether it was real or fake - of a guy standing with a spear next to a few wrecked cars in an arid desert. Will this spiritual Fallout sequel ever be released? I don't know, but a possible sequel to the second-best game ever made cannot be ignored.

I was looking forward to Quake 4, but the more I hear the less interested I am. I'm going to try before I buy. I only managed to get through a few levels of Doom 3 before I got bored; as much as I love my Quake, I want to know I'm going to enjoy it before I plunk down any cash.

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl

Massive open-ended FPS/RPG goodness set in the Chernobyl exclusion zone, except loaded with mutants, physical anomalies, and totally fluid/organic life.  V-LIFE is gonna rock if they implement so much as an 1/8th of what they're planning.

Needless to say, one of the most amazing and stupidly ambitious games ever.  I'll buy it even if it blows just to tell developers to keep thinking this stuff up.

That game looks awesome. My favorite part of their website is where it says this:

Quote
Q: When will S.T.A.L.K.E.R. be released? Who's the publisher?
A: The game is slated for release in 2nd half 2004. On the territory of CIS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will be published by Russobit-M. The worldwide publisher will be announced a bit later.

Also, I'm looking forward to HL2: Aftermath.

Screw Kingdom Hearts. Seriously.

And if they rerelease FFs 4 and 6 on the DS, that will be enough to make me finally cave and buy one. My will has been steadily weakening since the release of Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Twilight Princess and FFXII are also high on my list.

FFXII (I'm a SquEnix whore).

Did anyone ever read up on the MMO microsoft was developing called Mythica?  My heart broke into a million tiny jagged shards of fiberglass when I heard they were cancelling development on it.  Off-topic, but I was pretty excited about it at the time.

No they're not. It's FFIII FOR THE NES.

RUMORS DO NOT EQUAL NEWS.

Also, FFVI sucks so a remake would just increase the suckage, unless they rework the game so that the plot doesn't fall apart half-way through and Kefka doesn't suck at being a villain, but that's impossible. That which sucks cannot be unsucked.

OMG RANT.

But still, DRAGON QUEST VIII.

But anyway...

I'm looking forward to:
World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade
Final Fantasy XII
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (why, oh why did it have to get pushed back again???)
Civ 4 (the Macintosh release in January, anyway)
Spore (hoping for a Macintosh release, anyway)

I'm sort of looking forward to the Burning Crusade for WoW.  My relationship with the game is sort of abusive (with me as the abusee) but Burning Crusade may be enough to draw me in for Round 4.  It's probably going to all end tears.  I have never played a more addictive, lifestyle destructive game.

Civ 4: I've been Sid Meier's bitch ever since I first played Alpha Centauri.

FFXII: I've never played a bad FF game, even if FFIX dissapointed me a little.

AoE III: I was doubtful at first, but played the demo and loved it.

Kingdom Hearts II: I love SquareEnix

Xenosaga Ep 3: Xenogears was the greatest game ever made, I have to keep playing the series to the end.
