Yeah... my first post! Huzzah! Anyway, the band is Cryptopsy, and they play ridiculously technical death metal. I reccomend their most recent album, Once Was Not, but all of their CD's I've heard so far have been good. Listen with an open mind, since it's not for everybody. Standout tracks on Once Was Not are Keeping the Cadaver Dogs Busy, Endless Cemetary, and The Frantic Pace of Dying. Expect mach 9 drum playing and screeching guitar riffs.

Cryptopsy are ok, a bit on the boring side in my book though. For technical deathmetal (which I really don't listen to often) I prefer Necrophagist.

Necrophagist's guitarist is crazy.

Would you consider Nile as technical Death metal?

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

yes, thats what i would consider them as. but with that little egyptian flare :]]

necrophagist falls more under the math-metal catagory than tech-death, though. i think.
