Holy wow, I haven't been on this forum in ages.

This isn't so much an ask but a comment....

In your comment about indie band tropes, I would just like to point out you missed horses.
Horses are all the rage now too.

Just so you know.

Hey Jeph

I dont know if this has been asked yet, but are you going to do anything with Faye's entire emotional crisis? Ever since the truth came out about her dad, save for a few therapy sessions, she's suddenly gone back to the sassing southerner without a wiff of info about it. What about the whole Martin-Faye thingy about her not wanting him to put his love life in a holding pattern? Is she going to finally realize she made a mistake, etc etc?

Basically, will you be bringing back that whole plotline or is it dead and buried for something else?

he's working on a steve arc at the moment, give him time. though it'll probably be a band arc after this one.

but story arcs for faye and penelope are just around the corner, i'm sure.

there'd better be another big twist for issue 1000. i mean it's like, c'mon!

Jeph, I actually tried to e-mail you all of these like a week after I read the entirety of the archives (you were up to strip... 537 or so at that point).  Anywayz, on to questioning!

1. You are from Rockville!  One of my favorite bands, O.A.R. (before they made their last album, a total piece of shit) is also from Rockville, and like the same age as you.  Slim chance, but have you ever talked to/met those guys?  Even if not, your thoughts on their music?

2. Also on a Rockville note, why the hell haven't you ever set aside time to meet some of your loyal readers from the Murylind?  We are nice people!  I promise only I would steal your wallet, and only if you didn't chip in for boozahols.

3. What made you decide not to go to Otakon this year?  I thought I heard something about them being terrible at organizing things or something, but I wasn't sure.

Yeah, I get that too.

Also, something weird is happening on the Deathmole page... about two of the links don't work, and the .zip file is corrupted :(  ... I wanted to put Deathmole on my iPod! No!

Ok Jeph, this gets more Twilight Zone each time.  Tried the Indietits link again and got this:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

And I tried it twice too just to be sure.

Hey jeph I was wondering, in the latest comic with Hannelore's mom's first appearance, it looks like Hannelore has 5 earrings. Doesn't she have a problem with odd numbers? Or does she have 5 in each ear for a total of 10?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as of right now, I can't find anything on each comic/newspost/archive that tells what date that comic was for. This would be sort of nice, because sometimes in the newsposts you talk about that day's comic on a certain website, but only link to that website's main page. I don't know how hard it would be to do, but I just think it would be really nice if the comics were labeled with the date or something.

I just registered but have been reading for a while.

Are you planning on doing more with "morgue chick"? as you so aptly dubbed her.
I kinda like her character she looks intriguing.

Yes.

How long does it take you to record a new song?

4-10 hours, depending.

have you considered putting QC in a print book?

Yes.

Basically, will you be bringing back that whole plotline or is it dead and buried for something else?

I probably will at some point. People need time to change.

What font do you use in the comic itself?

Blambot Casual.

3. What made you decide not to go to Otakon this year?  I thought I heard something about them being terrible at organizing things or something, but I wasn't sure.

1. Not that I'm aware of!

2. SPX, dude. Every fall in Bethesda. Literally ON THE ROCKVILLE PIKE.

3. Otakon is poorly organized.

I think my email's not sending to folks. Anyway, Jeph, did you get a copy of the picture taken after receiving the *ahem* double sided fan art print I gave you at MoCCA on Saturday?

Yes. Very embarassing!

Hey jeph I was wondering, in the latest comic with Hannelore's mom's first appearance, it looks like Hannelore has 5 earrings. Doesn't she have a problem with odd numbers? Or does she have 5 in each ear for a total of 10?

Five per ear.

Mrs. Chatham: Does she or does she not have an English accent?

Whatever you think.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as of right now, I can't find anything on each comic/newspost/archive that tells what date that comic was for. Too late for that now! I don't have time to go back and figure out what day all 900+ comics was uploaded on. Time is an illusion our minds create to explain entropy anyway.

Hadn't dropped by in a while, but...

1- What moved you to the new panel arrangements (like the one in today's comic), the combination looks quite awesome and really gives the story a faster pacing...Will you keep it?

2- How did the story for The Talk come to your head, was it something you had planned from an early stage or did it just pop into your head doing "Jazz Hands"? (Jazz hands are very awesome)

Hello Jeph, I have been reading QC for a while now but I decided to register to ask something that has been bugging me.  Where are we going to meet any of the character's dads?  Sure Faye's dad is out of the question (unless its Zombie Dad) but we know that Marten's father is alive and well, and Hannelore's dad has been mentioned several times.  Is there a reason for this or do you plan on having them drop by?

Thanks and keep up the excellent work!

Is the "Bossk" notice on the noticeboard in the first panel of strip 923 a reference to the UK-based isis/pelican-esque band, or is it purely coincidental? Because if it refers to them, you are very awesome for being someone from across the pond who has heard of them!

Hey Jeph, I have a Photoshop question!

I've noticed that whenever I create a panel for a webcomic and save it as a JPEG, I lose the richness of the colour! When the comic is uploaded everything is washed out. I have searched google trying to find a solution to this but thus far none of the suggestions have worked. Does this ever happen to you when you save a comic for the web? Your colours always look so bright and great...
