[dude pukin' hearts or something]

Princy, you are a braver soul than I.  That's a pretty sweet picture, but having it as a desktop?  I don't think I can look at it enough to stand that.

Your fake Vista is indeed preeeeeeeety. :-)

One of many, many, many, many, many Vista clones. They all pretty much do the same thing.

Also, here is my new deskie.

Vista wants to be OSX so badly.  And that's not a bad thing.

I did the opposite. Now when vista was released i bought my laptop as fast as I could so I wouldn't get vista =)
Recycle bin is only there because I can't get rid of it.

But you CAN get rid of it.
Or you can use tweakxp which is a VERY useful program (can do other things like remove the little ugly arrows on shortcuts for example).
And YES, the program is from microsoft!

No, it isn't vista. It is an XP mod - as Cosmic said - Luna Elements 5 which I downloaded over on deviantART - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/29511577/ It does come in black, which is what I run.

Here is a link to the background, I cannot remember where I found it, so here is my copy uploaded for you - http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/1658/lovejaw3.jpg

I know this is old, but thank you Princy!  I just got this and it looks great!

Wow, four out of, like 15 ;)
And actually I don't play that many of them =P

And talking about docks... I wonder if that menu counts as a dock... what is the definition of a dock btw?

Changed my background again after I joined Deviant Art last night (...I have no idea why...), and looked at all of the pretty pictures. I liked this one. Excuse my Ruckus player...the damn thing doesn't minimize to your toolbar. It's all very annoying.

I guess a dock would be anything similar to the OS X dock. A blank board where you can drag icons onto and they stay there. Doesn't have to be an external program, but in my mind it looks like a dock.

They're mergeing back apparently. I never bothered with Beryl, I don't think it's in the standard Fedora repo's anyway.

Compiz comes pre-installed at the moment, though I think F 7 will use Beryl or compiz-quinn or whatever it's called these days.

I'm thinking of heading back to KDE once version 4 is out so it'll be interesting to see how KDE handles it all. Last time I tried about 9 months ago I ended up breaking KWM :( this was before AIGLX etc though and you had t ocompile a bunch of stuff from the nightly CVS builds, imagine its calmed (and stabilized) a lot since then.

An app called GrandPerspective, it shows every file in its location relative to everything else. First time I ran it, I realised that I had lost 2 gigs to game demos and youtube saves.

Big blue blocks: Games.
Big yellow blocks: Windows.
Everything else: I blame Apple for putting a download site in the Menu Bar of every app.

Hm, GrandPerspective was kinda useful. I suddenly found a folder of about 5GB of Beatles-material that I'd moved, but forgot to delete. Woohoo, more space. I won't bother posting a screenshot now, it's pretty dull and "messy".

Nice. Yeah, with the uber-wide screen (screens?) there, you don't really have a lot of options. What distro is that, anyway? (gnome foot = <3!)

The only thing that I can think might be an option is to take some nice clean vector art and stitch it together. I dunno. I was specifically thinking these:

http://www.dlanham.com/art/spring/
http://www.dlanham.com/art/fall/

Pretty pictures of trees in various seasons would be super clean and super easy to stitch into a nice loooooong image.  Plus, I dig that artist's work.

I'm breaking The Screenshot Thread, so apologies! I just wanted to share that.
