I'm pretty sure the Apocalypse would be very nigh, if I saw an emo kid walking down the street with a Deathspell Omega t-shirt.

I've seen him sporting a Lykathea Aflame shirt. It ain't quite as bad, but it's close.

Outside of emo rubbish, his musical taste is actually rather excellent. He used to be very metal, but never really dropped his mainstream tastes, and became progressively more emo when he found he could get obscene amounts of action with a funny fringe.

Heh. I only just realised there's forums here. :D

I'll just add a quick "Hell yes" to Deathspell Omega. \m/

I still remember the days when all you needed to be a black metal elitist was to know Beherit or Mütiilation. Snif, those days will never come back, I guess.

I know a guy who's got a Mütiilation vinyl, hand-numbered in blood.

That still counts for something.

That completely reminded me of "Evil Joe" by Racer X.  If you're not familiar with the tune, it's reasonably amusing, but kind of silly.  However, the basis was a prank call made by one of their friends.  He called up this dude in response to a guitarist sought for a black metal band, and the guy pretended that he misunderstood the ad and thought it was for a metal guitarist who was black.  Stupid hilarity ensues.  It's on their site.  Just click on "Evil Joe" if you want to find out about it.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.
