1 - opeth - dirge for november (i haven't really listened to blackwater park)
2 - training for utopia - police john, police red (absolutely mental stuff, like neurosis meets norma jean. shame that the clark brother's current band, demon hunter is a bit rubbish)
3 - living sacrifice - awakening (also known as the band that jason truby (played in POD for a bit) and rocky gray (played in evanescence for a bit) used to be in. living sacrifice are better than both of these bands)
4 - maylene & the sons of disaster - plenty strong and plenty wrong (what do you do when you get kicked out of a screamo band who are about to get really, really huge? form a dirty southern rock band of course)
5 - x one way x - miner threat (stoopid hardcore punk, in the vein of good clean fun and comeback kid. buy their album, it's got 40 songs on it about random stuff)
6 - aborted - medical deviance (like carcass? these sound like them, except theyre from belgium. and they're awesome)
7 - extol - psychopath (from synergy, one of the best thrash albums for a very long time)
8 - crimson moonlight - thy wilderness (br00tal)
9 - aborted - the chrondrin enigma (the faith no more cover on the album this is from is brilliant)
10 - mc lars - straight outta stockholm (super-happy hip hop stuff, quite chilled out)
11 - x one way x - benedict arnold is a fucking sellout
12 - judas priest - devil's child (metal legends)
13 - vaakevandring - some day (the ep is probably one of my favourite black metal releases)
14 - drottnar - rullett (crazy tech black metal, check out welterwerk)
15 - turisas - among ancestors (battle metal!)
16 - soundgarden - let me drown (superunknown is a quality album)
17 - 36 crazyfists - destroy the map (slit wrist theory is vastly overrated)
18 - seventh star - iversusi (probably the angriest christian hardcore band ever)
19 - radiohead - electioneering (one of the few bands i still listen to from my early teens, still love them)
20 - TRC - dark days (a thuggish, hip-hop influenced hardcore band, with 4 singers, really entertaining)
21 - feeder - under the weather (again, another band that has survived my playlist since my early teens, yesterday went too soon is still awesome)
22 - tourniquet - ark of suffering (thrashtacular)
23 - strapping young lad - the filler - sweet city jesus (the most abusive frontman i have ever seen. oderus urungus has nothing on this man for yelling insults at his audience)
24 - idlewild - you don't have the heart (shame these guys went really boring)
25 - voice of the mysterons - electrocutesy vs the shocking alternative (a love song for the youth of today) (it took me almost as long for me to type this bit as it did for the song to play)

6. Shivaree - Goodnight Moon
7. Rufus Wainwright - Hallelujah
8. Ben Folds - Trusted
9. Tears for Fears - Mad World
10. Syd Barrett - Bike
11. Green Day - Redundant
12. Depeche Mode - Blasphemous Rumours
13. Slowdive - Machine Gun
14. The Magnetic Fields - Grand Canyon
15. Metallica - Master of Puppets
16. Johnny Cash - Boy Named Sue
17. Davoli - Space Twist
18. Radiohead - Airbag
19. The Apples In Stereo - Show the World
20. The Magnetic Fields - The Book of Love

I'm kind of a musical packrat (I only delete things if I hate them), so some of this stuff isn't really what I listen to right now. But I still like it all, so I'm not embarrassed about any of it.

2) Cradle of Filth - Tonight in Flames
3) A Perfect Circle - Over
4) The Tea Party - Transmission

6) Coal Chamber - Burgundy

I want to say something witty about how that is not an accurate representation of my tastes but it more or less is. Except there should have been more black metal and more Tegan & Sara.

I got 5 Billy Joel tracks in a row to start and thought it was kind of weird until I realized shuffle wasn't on  :-P

So Here We Are - Bloc Party
Lola - The Kinks (hands down the best song about transvestites in my catalogue)
Down Boy - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
In The Morning - Razorlight
Mis-Shapes (Pulp cover) - Franz Ferdinand
Hysteria - Muse
Oh My God - Kaiser Chiefs

I wish my shuffle always turned up results like this :-D
