Not that I actually think anyone reads this, and shuffling through entire music collections is pure lunacy but it was half-way fun flipping through and seeing how fast I could name artists off random songs.

"Somewhere Inbetween" - Streetlight Manifesto
"In McDonalds" - Burial
"The Devil Never Sleeps" - Iron & Wine
"One Minute to Midnight" - Justice
"El Pico" - Ratatat
"Supernatural" - The 1900s
"Stockholm Syndrome" - Yo La Tengo
"Throw it on A Fire" - Bell Orchestre
"American Ghost Dance" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Automatic Stops" - The Strokes

Well, at least Coldplay didn't show up (I can't delete things from my music collection to which I am ambivalent towards).

Summoning-Orthanc
Primordial- Children of the Harvest
Boris & Keji Hanjo- a rise, a moment before something unexpected is on the verge of starting
Belphegor- The requiem of Hell
Eluvium- Intermission
Ezurate- Emperor of Hell (has won)
Methadrone- Emotionless
Summoning- Over Old Hills
Vivaldi- Autumn 2: Adagio Molto
Louis Armstrong- Clarinet Marmalade

I think I've only really listened to maybe 3 of the songs here. Does anyone else get the opinion from their lists that they have way too many mp3s?

Oh my God I've never contributed to this thread and I bet you guys are just shitting yourselves to find out 10 songs from my iTunes Library right?

1. rearviewmirror- Pearl Jam

I don't think I've ever listened to this song before, I have a lot of music I leeched off of a friend. I've deleted most of it that I didn't listen to, but somehow this slipped through the net.

2. Minor Threat- Minor Threat

No comments necessary

3. She Came in Through The Bathroom Window- The Beatles

Man, the way this track starts on the CD is really weird, I didn't recognise this at first. Paul doesn't sing the eponymous line until about 10 seconds in and everything before that sounds like noise

4. People are People- A Perfect Circle

I like to think APC just made eMotive to get out of their record contract.

5. Televators- The Mars Volta

Say what you will about more recent TMV albums, but De-loused is a fucking classic.

6. The Reflecting God- Marilyn Manson

Another pretty fine song from another fine artist who has been tainted by his offensively mediocre later output.

7. Love in Plaster- The Hives

Why are the Swedish better at everything than everyone?

8. When Darkness Falls- Killswitch Engage

Riff riff riff riff gigantic chorus repeat

9. Solve et Coagula- Mudvayne

Hahaha what

10. Canonball Run Theme- Ray Stevens

FUCK YES.

Not exactly representative of my exact taste in listening as of right now, but maybe a fair average of my music taste over the last few years.

1. Love - Wonder People (Do I Wonder) (Outtake)

2. Curve - No Escape From Heaven
Ah, Curve. I keep thinking they should have had the middling success that Garbage had. Can't say their music evolved much over time, though.

3. The Mars Volta - Tira me a las arañas
4. At the Drive In - One Armed Scissor
Have to say, I liked them better when they were all about rockin' arenas and whatnot. Word from Sasquatch this year indicated that TMV was awful but then, a band like that isn't really in the position to please anyone who isn't into noodling, especially live.

5. Santogold - I'm A Lady
Originally snagged this album for a friend of mine. The chorus is pretty catchy, but I'm personally wondering how long it's going to take the world to realize that these are No Doubt songs.

6. Jeremy Soule - The Artisan's District
From the Icewind Dale soundtrack. Soule was always adept at big blustery epic music, perfect for D&D games. Icewind Dale was his finest work.

7. µ-Ziq - Glink
Love this song. The way the drum break kicks in always gets me.

Yeah - and the reason I can't join in is that my player has too much music on for Rockbox to shuffle.

I keep randomly clicking old band threads and I like the idea of this one so bump.

1. The finale from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake
2. Least Complicated by Indigo Girls
3. Symphony 3: The Story (feat. Count Bass D) by Emily Wells
4. Remember When it Rained by Josh Groban
5. An Poc Are Buile by The Chieftains
6. Message of Love by Jimi Hendrix and the Band of Gypsys
7. Wally on the Run by Steve Martin (he's actually a really good banjo player)
8. Songbird by Fleetwood Mac
9. In the Raven Haunted Forests of Darkenhold, Where Shadows Reign and the Hues of Sunlight Never Dance by Bal-Sagoth (the contrast between this one and the last one is perfect)
10. Vinushka by Dir en grey, which I link to because if you don't know it, you should.

(also, now I have that song playing in my iTunes and in my browser about 18 seconds apart, but PERFECTLY in time with each other)
