i agree with phrozen, between the bars is fricken haunting but it creeps me out even more when i'm in my bed listening to it and i think, oh my god a dead man is singing to me.

anyways. his guitar-ing was brilliant, many of his songs were brilliant, but his voice kind of sucked though. i mean in the albums his voice was kinda alright, real quiet and emotional but have you guys ever heard a recording of him live? yeesh.

Hehe, someone recently suggested an interpretation for that song that I really liked. I don't know how right it is, but it still sounds good:

It's a love song from a bottle/flask to a drinker...

There are some awesome videos of Elliott on youtube.  They'll never take her love away is an awesome song that I heard for the first time on youtube.  I'll supply links when I get home but I'm at a job training thing on my buddy's sidekick right now.
