My girlfriend and I got in this huge fight over whether or not they got to keep the groceries on Supermarket Sweep, and she ended up leaving me.

I got real sad and called up my friend and we were discussing if a Stephen Malkmus Meets the Jetsons movie would be indie.  Sure, Stephen Malkmus is like the fucking Kublai Khan of indie, but would the Hanna Barbara characters coerce him into selling out??

I say pretty much anything Stephen Malkmus does is cool, that's because I'm outragously biased so in that case I think the Malkmus/Jetsons movie would be sweet. That is all.

Quote from: Spinless
The Jetsons would simply become background characters, a live action malkmus would make music and interact completely with the cartooniverse around him.
Meanwhile, all the animated Malkmus clones begin to replace all of the other characters.
In the end the animated Malkmus army tries to overthrow the real live action Malkmus who's distracting all the attention away from them because of the fact he isn't animated.

What would happen next? Obviously a cool guitar jam, but I mean besides that? Maybe some flying monty pytthon-esque  cutout characters from various side projects or other bands?

You know what? I'm gonna start animating this in Flash.

Oh please do, and let me know when you're done.

Speaking as someone who has barely listened to any Pavement (Yeah, you can quarter me if you want), their appearance on that episode was pretty much the best thing of all time

I think you're probably better off without her if that's true
