Lost Season 2

Im getting REALLY impatient for it to come on in the UK. :( Damn programs taking ages to get to UK, it makes me mad.

For those who have seen it, is it as good as season 1? (No spoliers please :)).

I have no TV, so I too have to wait for it until it comes out on DVD.

Same with Season 3 of Arrested Development.

Season 2 isn't as manic as season 1. It's got some neat twists, the introduction of a super-badass character, but it's not "OMG SUPER COOL STUFF!" every week.

Yeagh Season 2 isn't as good as season 1, theres a sense of resignation, and the bad guys are like.  Common!  Really!  THAT IS WHAT YOUR THROWING AT US???

But its still the best thing on TV this side of South Park.  But go D/L Lost, its way easier than waiting, and waiting between episodes is hard.

The strength in season two is in the implications, not the actions.

*SPOILER WARNINGS!!!*

The button is a prime example. They're gonna be on the island for a long, long time, and they know it. They're not saying it, but that they're taking shifts with the button shows that they know it. And since they know they're not getting off the island, they won't be as concerned with getting off the island so much as what's on the island.

*SPOILERS OVER!!!*

Question: Do you think that if it weren't for Walt, the raft might have succeeded? The Others were clearly after Walt, so if Walt weren't on the raft, they might've left it alone, so it wouldn't have gotten blown up, which means they might have gotten far enough away to get rescued.

Yes but Walt *was* on the raft, and as a pragmatic person I have to look at the consequences not what ifs.

But I'm not going to get all deep in this post, but the mention of the button just reminds me how much Jack has been pissing me off lately, Syid needs to come around and knock him on his ass.  Or Mr Ecko and Locke need to start being more awesome together.  Damn those guys are the shit.  Also, why did Shannon have to die, she was such a Hotty, Kate is small fries next to her.

...yes, I know Walt was on the raft. It was just a hypothetical question, you could've just ignored it altogether if you're going to disregard it.

I have my theories about the button, I don't feel like getting into that, or the Locke/Eko stuff, so I'll just say that Ana Lucia and Sun are both hot.

What Season 2 needs is for Ana Lucia and Jack to try and pull some caper, and Ecko and Locke lay hella pain on them. Basically because they piss me off, and I want more Ecko / Locke related bad-assery.

And UK person, you really should just download 'em. Makes life so much easier and also removes the 16 million years of ads.

We're a few episodes in over here and so far I've seen absolutely no Ecko-related badassery.  I mean c'mon, the dude was Adabesi in Oz!  Is it too much to ask that he might have gone psycho on someone by now??

Also, it's become pretty quickly apparent that the first few episodes of the second season were all about luring the disgruntled viewers back with lots of unexpected revelations, before the show settlied back into the same old Season 1 rut of teasing the viewer with the tiniest fragments of fuck-all week in, week out, interspersed with lots of tedious (and frankly, pretty B-grade) character development and back-story.

And yet still I watch, always hoping . . . hoping . . .

It does seem like they like to screw with the viewers.  I"m pretty sure not even the writers know what's going on anymorw.  Still I like season 2.  The plot development  concerning the "Others" really adds to everything.  Also, Mr.Eko is badass.

Ecko doesn't even have the wierd beard any more. It's all terribly disapointing. His flashback episode was all kinds of evil shit though, so there's hope yet.

I think the fact that, on a show where every one and every thing seems to be connected, the monster/security system and the Others have never been mentioned as maybe having some connection is interesting. I mean, the odds of them not having some sort of connection are slim
