U2 Australian Tour
KharBevNor:
There is still good music being made...in fact, I would say, for my tastes, things have picked up with the 00's. The 90's were pretty sparse, but the 00's have seen the fruition of the post-black scene, and every awesome metal band from the 80's basically reunite for great justice. Good times.
The 80's in particular still own the now though. Especially for pop music. It pains me to think what I have to sit through on the art department radio compared to some of the sheer quality stuff that came out in the 60's through 80's.
Storm Rider:
I don't know, the 80s had its fair share of pop atrocities. Breakfast Club, anyone?
E. Spaceman:
If you mean Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds, that song is awesome.
Storm Rider:
I was thinking more along the lines of Karma Chameleon.

--- Quote from: Gryff ---LIVE IN THE NOW!
There are so many fucking amazing bands around at the moment - it's your own fault if the most exciting thing you can find is Green Day. In the next month I am going to see Sigur Ros, the Mountain Goats and the Rolling Stones. Last month I saw Bonnie Prince Billy and the Bats. There is always incredible music being made somewhere - you just have to find it!

I completely agree, but that doesn't change the fact that I would still pay an obscene amount of money to see The Beatles
Also, theheadoffatness, your tickets are still valid for when they come back here. They didn't cancel the tour, they just postponed it. If you were desperate enough to fight the screaming hoardes of U2 fans and part with all that cash to see them, I wouldn't get a refund on your ticket.
