Well, I didnt really know where to put this, however, listen to this:

Dr.Dre & Snoop Dogg VS. Grease

It was made by disfunctional dj

Anyone has some other cool mash ups? :)

Yoshimi Battles the Hip Hop Robots byThe Kleptones is fantabulous. Same goes for most stuff from Go Home Productions.

I'm hoping to have a go at some home made mash-ups this summer holiday, after being inspired by a uni friend and his crazy mashup talents.

when my mum found out i'd started djing she bought me a mash up of bob marley and mobb deep called bobb deep. Its pretty horrendous but it was a present so i can't get rid of it, but having 50 cent rap over bob marley tunes is just plain wrong. I'm not a big fan of mash ups and crossover remixes in general though, pendulum ruined voodoo people by the prodigy, jacknife lee should be strung up for his crimes against hip hop, not just eminem but i swear he's responsible for the rock mix of '463' by buck 65. Heard a breakcore remix of 'my sharona' that was vaguely entertaining though so i shouldn't be too harsh.

American Edit is a great mash-up of Green Day's American Idiot with every other song you've ever heard in your life.  Download here.

To this day, I believe that the best mash-up I've ever heard is Sonic Youth / Madonna cover/mash-up thing of Ciccone Youth for "Into the Groove" for their The Whitey Album.

Having said that, I do enjoy more conventional mash-ups.  I just bought a Coil vs. Venetian Snares mash-up album last weekend which is pretty enjoyable.

Rather than start a new thread and get pointed to this one, I thought I'd use the following link to one of the smoothest mashups I've heard in months as a *BUMP*...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JKKl95Ttrc

I just wish the Howie Day parts were a bit less Howie Day.

there was a mashup of the Ghostbusters theme and the Nine Inch Nails song "The Hand That Feeds" (I think that was the song...) a while ago, but I think it was taken off the internet or something, I don't know at this point.

I love the mashup of Cake's Mahna Mahna and Kanye West's Gold Digger. I can't hear Gold Digger now without going, "Doot doo da doo doo!"

It's by Lenlow, it's about midway down (Kanye Mahna).

I thought it was worth it to resurrect this thread to show you all this track:

http://www.waxaudio.com.au/the_mashening

The first track currently on the page mashes "Come Together" into Justice and lays Obama and MLK quotes over it all.  It's so fucking good.

Also on this site are mashups of, for instance, "War Pigs" into "Whole Lotta Love," and "Another Brick In The Wall" into "Stayin' Alive."

I really like mahsups.  Let's get discussion back up and running!

^LOL

There's a mix by a guy called BIG BAD BAZ or D.J. Wyz (i can't tell which one is right) called Mystery Solved.

It includes Wheatus, Shaggy, Fatboy Slim, Will Smith, Steve Miller, Weezer, The Kingsmen and is pretty cool. not fantastic, but worth posting.

Touche, but I am still endlessly surprised by how many people I know that haven't heard of Girl Talk.  And as such, I figured that number would only multiply in this setting.
