Yeah well I guess someone has changed the password on my sisters computer and I was wondering if there is any way of getting it back. I know there is something like deleting everything and starting new but she lost all her cd's that help her with that. So anything?





I feel stupid now. :-(

What password are you talking about? I bet I use about 10 passwords a day when working on the computer, so um...which one?

The Log On password. Someone changed it.

I'm not too sure about the cure beyond a reinstall (I don't use Windows a lot), but prevention of the problem is better. When you do get access again, set up another Admin account for yourself, and password protect it so that no one else knows it. That way, even when this happens, you've got a side door to get in and fix things.
