Something I'm to stupid to figure out.

<< < (2/4) > >>

indiansteve:
It's XP.

Alegis:
Reinstall means format if you don't know the current pass.

Try this :

http://www.loginrecovery.com/index.html

--- Quote ---Login Recovery is a service to reveal user names and recover passwords for Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003 and Longhorn. As long as you have physical access to the computer, your passwords can be recovered
--- End quote ---

or this link I found as well :

http://itt.theintegrity.net/pmwiki.php?n=ITT.XPPasswordRecovery

indiansteve:
Neither of those ways worked for me.

Oli:
Find out who it was that changed the password. Ask them to give you it then change it back.

If they won't beat them. If they just typed in a bunch of random letters/numbers and don't actually know the password (Or do you have to confirm the password when creating it?!? I don't use a password so I dunno) beat them more and make them sit and puinch random combinations of numbers/letters in till you get back into your computer. That could take them years. They probably deserved it.

Alegis:

--- End quote ---

Then you'll have to retrieve the pass from the perpetrators, like Nolaw suggested. Or lose data.

Surprises me they don't work : |
