Spoon just released a video for Written in Reverse.  It's a black & white stylized film of them in a recording studio with a segmented mirror directed by Danny Clinch.  It's awesome.

Partly a music video, partly a short film, and really excels at both. The narrative is clear and engaging. I've not enjoyed a music video this much in a while. The concept is not a new one - those of you familiar with Run Lola Run will recognize it immediately - but it's very well executed and crafted.

TELEPATHE - Devil's Trident

I guess I've been into a lot of spacey laid back occasionally dancey music, lately. A lot of it has videos like this, of old VHS footage strung together in what seems like no particular order, rendering the images pure visual sensation.  This one is actually probably kind of odd to the extent that it's not truly abstract, merely abstracted from context, unlike lots of other videos I've seen lately wherein the images are distorted, blurred and blended.

Anyway, TELEPATHE are excellent electronic noise pop.  There are a lot of really good remixes of their songs too, but their album, Dance Mother, has been a favorite of mine for a while now.

I made another movie music video using a friend's song. This time, clips from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, song from Autumn Sky - I Spill (My Bright Incalculable Soul). I think the lyrics went amazingly well with the film in this case, so I really took the time to match clips with the flow of the music.
