Damn now I have to give him more money!

Oli:
I'd want a 9 box set.

As in original versions of 4, 5, 6. Re-mastered versions of 4, 5, 6 & eps 1, 2, 3.

I'd settle for it without 1, 2, & 3.

AceGun:
hey, maybe he'll remaster the prequels and actually improve them?  then a 12-movie set is in order!

Electric Monk:
At least he can't make 7, 8, and 9 like he used to talk about...

Gryff:

--- Quote from: Faker ---I understand that a director has a right to go back and edit his works to acheive what his vision of the piece is.

I disagree!

I think that once an artistic work has been released to the public it becomes - in a way - public property. This is especially true with all the ridiculous popularity that the Star Wars trilogy has.

I would argue that Lucas really had no right to add and delete bits from the original movies. Of course the law disagrees with me here, but…

edit: spelling.

Hat:
I don't mind what they did with Indiana Jones, tweaking the sound and making the print a great deal cleaner, but yeah, adding scenes and updating special effects is essentially memory rape to me. It's like the difference between remastering an album, and going back to completely redo all the tracks you felt weren't upto par and then remixing it.

I mean, every artist wants to go back and fix mistakes he made, but once you put it out there and say "This is my work of art", I don't think you have the right to change it.
