So, now that the trailer offically killed Bungie.net's bandwith (maintainence, yeah right!). What does everyone that has seen it think? I've heard so many theories already, yet I'm still developing my own. So "little" given away by the trailer, and yet so many questions pop into my head.

MC's Mark armor looks older (the helmet specifically).

The rifle he's using looks like either a cross of a Battle Rifle and Assult Rifle. Lots of theories that it might be the MA2B from the books. (Bungie said their gonna be following the books alot more)

The things Cortana said " I have defied Gods and Demons. I am your shield. I am your swords. I know you; your past, your future. This is how the world ends."

I mean: reading the books, seeing the Cortana Letters and ilovebees, and playing the game you start trying to draw conclusions. Alot of people are trying to relate the things said in the trailer to books and mythology, and yet they dont try to link anything that has happened in the books or in the game itself.

The biggest aspect I think they miss is that Cortana being an AI is comming to the end of her life span.

The things she said in the trailer are very reminisent of the Cortana Letters, there is a significant link.

The things in the letters themselves, not all of them or any of the things she said took place. Which leads me to beleive those "Letters" are either: I) random babblings of everything thats happened on Halo, the Covenant AI absobtion, and the things that the Grave mind is/has done to her. Not to mention being a galaxy apart from Master Chief. II) the letters are things that is what to come in this game. The Letters are acutally things she wanted to comunicate to MC. Realizations, things she learned, and esspecially conclusions that only a brilliant AI like Cortana could figure out once she had enough information, information she could have gotten easily from the Grave Mind.

If you cant tell I'm excited like crazy for this game. I'm gonna end up replaying all the games, rereading all the books, and scavanging all the information I can.

I would really love to chat up on this subject, hopefully to other people that appreciate the series. If you dont, i'm not asking you to, but i dont think we need people comming into the thread and trying to badmouth bungie or the series.

I love Halo's plot. It's one of the smartest, best sci-fi plots ever seen in a video game.

I'm glad they're finally deciding to include it in the games.

i'm actually kinda surprized there werent more people trying to join in. Actually disapointed is the better word.

Quality trailer. If you have a PC which can handle it, get yourself the high-res trailer, its amazing.
