The Big Question
Storm Rider:
I saw it already. It's certainly an interesting new repetoire of characters, and the mega moves sound interesting, and the ability to use Gamecube controllers is not a bad touch, but I would have preferred to see at least some of the actual gameplay rather than just a trailer.
But Pit and Meta Knight could potentially be totally badass, and Wario will undoubtedly supplant Jigglypuff as the comedy character.

Why not just keep playing them on the PS2?
I'm probably getting a 360 and a Revolution. The Revolution looks like cheap fun and I'm impressed by what MS wants to do with the Live Anywhere services. I haven't been all that impressed by the PS3, and even though I was initially impressed by Sony's E3 show I later realised that it was mainly due to the next-gen GT HD and other games than anything to do with the system itself. I'm not sure how I feel about buying a $1,000 AUD console I don't want just to be able to play a handful of PS3-only titles.
Storm Rider:
Like I said, I think Sony's supreme arrogance over the PS3 (namely, that they can charge such a ludicrous amount, rip off Nintendo's ideas half-assedly, and not bother with a unified online service) will bite them in the ass, and probably lead a lot of developers to end their exclusive agreements as soon as they can. We may see Final Fantasy coming back to Nintendo before too much longer.
Of course, this may just end up being wishful thinking on my part, because Sony's actions as of late have really started to piss me off.
Electric Monk:
I'm going with a Wii. Sure, the name is idotic, but the games and control system have me hooked, not to mention the Virtual Console, a tree possessed of most delicious fruit. The fact that it will cost less than half as much as a 360 or PS3 merely sweetens the already-sweet deal.
JOIN the WII-VOLUTION. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT YOUR CHAINS.

Fanboy bullshit will not help this thread, so cut it. If you are excited about the Wii then that's great, but leave the buylines and all that rot to the ads.
