The Big Question

<< < (6/7) > >>

Something Witty:
I will be getting a revoloution, because I really like confounding new ideas, which include their controller, Plus, ZOMG ZELDA WTF.

Rizzo:
Despite hating everything Nintendo has done in recent years I find myself lusting after a Wii.
Zelda? Fuck that noise. Smash Bros? Yeah whatever. Yet somehow I'm keen to get one.

I used to be a huge fan of ps3 but the price tag kills it for me. I still think ps3 will win out in the end but it'll be far closer this time.
Basically what I think puts ps3 at an advantage is the use of Blue ray. It might be a flawed format interms of non-game releases but it can still hold 50gig on one disc. Even if the graphics are mediocre, the environments you could store on 50gig disc would be huge. That's where it beats 360 and it's measly 9gig discs.

So I think I'll get a Wii on release and then a ps3 in two or three years when they're cheaper. I might buy an xbox in a few months too. You can get mod chipped ones here for about $80nz if you know the right people. I give that thumbs up.

Rubby:
I want to get a PS3 for content – PS games have always been consistently better than the competition (mostly because of the awesome third party support) and I already have a bunch of PS one and two games – and a Wii because of price and because it just looks bad-ass.

Storm Rider:
OK, so if you've got a lot of PS2 games... play them on your PS2. Seriously, I don't understand why this is somehow a plus for the next-gen system.

And Sony has had a good record of third-party support, but if early sales are low because of the cost, we may see a lot of exclusives suddenly available for all platforms.

jhocking:

Maybe because they only have room in their TV stand for one console?  I mean, that would be a dumb reason, I'm just grasping at straws here.
