Dimmukane:
You also have to deal with region encoding and ntsc/pal resolution.

Norton Quintessential:
I guess that's true. Plus there's the matter of new voice-acting for characters when appropriate (changing Zenigame-speak to Squirtle-speak and all that.)

Alex C:
I think I'm actually going to miss the Japanese text once it's gone though; the way they're incorporated into the menus and everything is really quite handsome. Oh well, I still can't wait to get my hands on the localized version when it comes out. I'm glad it's just a friend of our's copy; you can't really play through story mode without his modded Wii freezing up right at the end as it currently stands.

ImRonBurgundy?:
There was a Japanese language option in the American version of Melee.

--- Quote from: Whipstitch on 09 Feb 2008, 16:38 ---I wish I knew japanese. The game's fun but navigating the menus in a foreign language is kind of a pain in the ass. I'm still undecided about what I think of the marth changes. He is different and the spacing doesn't feel right at all anymore, but at least his stupid combo attack thingy is somewhat useful-ish now. All my friends are busy this weekend though so it's kind of hard to get a feel for things just kicking the crap outta lvl 9 npcs.

Hey dude. I suggest you shut up about how you're playing the game for the next month so I don't have to repress the urge to hunt you down and gut you like a trout.
