Don't know if this has been done before, but here it is again if it has.

Post links to your own band. links to just mp3s or your bands website or myspace page or whatever. and give a kind of "what kind of band is this" description, be it a few words or more.

I'll start.

http://www.myspace.com/wemakethunder

We Make Thunder. Kind of punk/rock/thing. I play bass.

my old band where I played bass or guitar depending on the song, and sang

http://www.myspace.com/shirleyandthetemples

note: my voice sucks.  Kind of pop punk is what we were going for. late 80s-mid 90's lookout records kind of sound.

Metropolis.  We're a jazz/funk group.  It's my primary gig and helps pay the bills pretty well.

Ok um... Babysnakes
I've posted this before. It's not really my band but I do play guitar/keyboards and once in a while sing something. I also got top marks in the class for that website on our class "website project".

There's some old stuff in the link in my sig (acoustic things); I've been working on a lot of new stuff though, and will post once it's done (a couple of months probably).

Shweet.  Guilt-free whoring.

We haven't really got any music up yet, but my band's Amergency [www.myspace.com/amergency]
I play drums and sing on occasion.

We kinda suck, for now, but hopefully we'll record something decent soon!

My current most active project with stuff up is Halo of Flies. I just this weekend released a new EP entitled 'Huxley Orwell Overdrive'. Genre is eclectic: Dark Ambient/Darkwave/Folktronica with classical, soundtrack, industrial, world and experimental elements.

Reason is meant to be as absolutely straight forward as possible. If you can’t figure it out, I dunno, try Fruity Loops perhaps.

Summer tour!

I'm really excited because we just got Jason Caddell (ex-Dismemberment Plan) to co-produce our next record, and Chad Clark (Beauty Pill, ex-Smart Went Crazy) to mix.  DC, here we come!

Camel in the Sack. Sort of pop-punk, but I can't really say what our influences are, since each member has very different musical taste. Maybe one of you could describe our sound?

They're gonna break up soon since 3/5 members are departing for college, but click here for their next few concert dates! I actually need to fix that website. I'm really glad you like them!

I wish I had more musical talent. I've actually got enough talent, but way too much on my hands and not enough motivation. My brother and I almost did a "family band" a la The Fiery Furnaces but it never happened It would've been really fun, too... oh well.

Random piece of advice that helps me but probably won't help you: Knowing when not to do something is very important :-) (like not using a sub-par recording, only recording a song once you are really happy with it, etc. basically get it right when recorded)

yay random advice!

Because I yousendited them for another purpose, and because they're not up anywhere else, musical samples from some of my other projects:

Wyred, my darktrance project: Wyred - Blacklight Eternity

Ill Met By Moonlight, my folk noir project: Ill Met By Moonlight - The Loving Hand of Time

Evasion: Punk/hardcore band from Trondheim, Norway. We find inspiration in good ol' hardcore, not the new and emo hipsterscene. Bands like Minor Threat, Cro Mags, Bad Brains, Black Flag, Dag Nasty and Youth of Today are cool. We are Norway's worste dancers.

These Estates is power-pop that I write and other people help me to play. We have four songs up on MySpace, one of which needs re-recording and one of which is getting remixed. (Note: "We Got Snakes" was written for the Snakes On A Plane song contest but I'm too young and Canadian to enter.)

http://www.myspace.com/thisdyinghourmetal">This Dying Hour is my good friends band. they play sweet (nuish)metal. they are pretty good at what they do. music you can headbang AND hardcore dance to and somehow not feel stupid. it just feels right.

that is all

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

yes, well,... you see, this is some kind of a band-type thing i'm doing. i play guitar. we've got a song online which doesn't really represent our style, but it was fun to do, so i did! i made it myself!

maybe there will be some live-recording next week.

edit: don't be confused by my avatar for it is NOT synthpop.
