Humor is all about perspective and context; how well a joke works depends on the audience.
Are you saying that I can't compare Achewood to CAD? Look, it doesn't take a genius to see how much cleverer Chris Onstad's writing is than Tim Buckley's, regardless of the premise of the comic (or maybe even regarding the premise of the comic, since Onstad made a comic about anthropomorphic animals engaging in repartee and otherworldly activities, whereas Buckley made
another comic about two roommates who play video games). But then you say that you aren't saying that my statement was incorrect. So what are you saying? I thought it was pretty obvious that I was comparing webcomics in general.
The thing is, I'm part of an audience who can find both Achewood and Penny Arcade funny, despite the different premises.. I have no problem comparing just about any two given comics out there.
Incidentally, in your reply to obsessions you made it pretty clear that you are not only comparing based on quality of humor.
Yeah, that was just my excuse to declare CAD the worst comic out there. I could scan pictures of my shit onto a web site and declare it worst comic on the face of the earth, but nobody would know about it. I realize that I made a faulty argument there.
