That Prokofiev thing sounds interesting, I've been wanting more of that in music ever since I heard Blood Axis' 'Reign I Forever', which samples Romeo and Juliet.

As for Grave Digger, yes. That said, 'Heart of Darkness' and 'Knights of the Cross' come well recommended. Grave Digger are my second favourite of the big 80's German 'real' power metal bands, behind Running Wild. If you haven't heard Running Wild, by the way, then you are seriously behind. Get the Branded and Exiled/Under Jolly Roger/Port Royal trilogy NOW!

That part from Romeo and Juliet Blood Axis sampled is probably the best thing Prokofiev wrote. Other than that, stay away.
I mean seriously, his first symphony, what the hell?

Also, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum are amazing.

Once again listening to my favourite online radio station (Radio Indie Pop). I'm not a huge fan of YLT but the prgramming all seems to flow together really well.

Demon Hunter: The Tide Began to Rise from The Triptych, their most recent album.

I love it when a hardcore or metal band does a melodic, slower song (if they have the talent to XD). This is definitely one of my favourite songs that fits that criteria. (The 2 song lines at the beginning of my sig are from that song)

People generally seem to think they're altogether overrated but I really love this album (ANThology). I haven't got any of their other stuff though. And now this song is over so

Training For Utopia - Plastic Soul Impalement.  This is chaotic noise at its finest.  Not a semblance of melody here, just lots of sreaming, and abrasive guitar work, and noisy hardcore.  Ah, this one brings back memories of my youth...

"The Gold Finch And The Red Oak Tree" - Ted Leo and the Pharmacists

Nothing like a pretty acoustic piece. Would've been nice without the strings. I don't necessarily dislike them but I think the song would be altogether better without them. And now it's:

"Time We Left This World Today (live)" - Hawkwind

I think it's perfectly acceptable to listen to Elton John as long as it's  60s/70s Bernie Taupin Elton.  Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Honky Chateau, Captain Fantastic,  Caribou, etc, were fucking incredible albums.  The later stuff where it was sometimes with Bernie, sometimes not, starts to suck a bit/a lot.

I've heard they did a "sequel" of sorts to Captain Fantastic last year but I haven't heard it yet. I'm both excited and skeptical.

Oxbow - The Valley

I don't listen to a hell of a lot of DM, but Morbid Angel are an amazing band.

Emperor - Gypsy

(Mercyful Fate cover)

I love how Ihsahn tries to immitate King Diamond's fallesto, it's sounds so horrible :) I don't know if its the production or what but this track sounds a hell of a lot heavier then the original.

Yeah I guess there a very take or leave it sought of a band.

I really enjoy the way they structure their songs, especially on "Blessed are the Sick" I think that album is an absoloute master peice. The riffs are really interesting and quite unconventional, the way they play off against each other and all the solos, its really well done.

They remind me a lot of Emperor actually the way they layer their sound.
