for anyone that doesnt know, this was an album that was recorded onto a cassette and given to a friend of John Darnielle in 1995, it was the only recording of it availiable. long story short, as of may of this year it was leaked onto the internet, and i was wondering if any of you have heard it, and what you think.

I had been wanting to hear it for years and just found it online last night, i have to say it's incredible, like pretty much all of his stuff.  I was just wondering what anyone else thought of it, and if you think it was worth the wait. (personally, i think maybe it was)

Yeah, I heard it leaked.  I've been avoiding it, though, because John expressed that he didn't want it released, and he's such a nice guy that I thought I should respect his wishes.

I'm a pretty big fan though, and my resolve might break soon.

Sounds a bit like reading somebody else's private mail to me.  I'm sure it's incredible, but there are more than enough Mountain Goats recordings out there to keep me happy.

This pretty much raps up my sentiments. That's a bummer for him.

Maybe this means that there is a tiny tiny tiny chance of GY!BE's first album "all lights fucked on the hairy amp drooling" leaking.

I would pretty much kill for that. If anything for the title.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.
