Click, the movie was hilarious although sad.
Lise:
I avoided watching this one with the boyfriend. He later came back to tell me that it was "damn @@@@ing good" and that he "almost cried."
I mean, I can appreciate Adam Sandler when in the appropriate mood, but Click just isn't the "grand-moving picture" for me.
It's just too cliched. As some of you have predicted the plot, so have I.
Uh-Oh:
The original concept in Clic is present in an old european folk tale (can't remember from where and when... Germany, 1800-1900??).
Instead of a remote, the kid in the story is given a ball of yarn (from an old-woman of some sorts), and the thread is his lifeline. When he pulls it, he goes forward in time. Fun at first, to avoid homework and what not, but .... Oh noes! he skips too much. Things are going too fast, hes missing all the good stuff. Lesson learned.
Yeah.... Sandler just stole a childrend bed-time story and made millions.. . :P
P.S. Haven't seen the movie yet, so I might end up liking it, which I doubt, but ya never know.
JLM:
"Okay, like, Adam Sandler, goes back in time, and then forward again, and like, learns some type of lesson about the value of roots, or something?"
