Justin Timberlake's comments about his new album/song

<< < (19/31) > >>

Not An Addict:
Seriously, I don't know anyone who thinks R&B means "rhythm and bass". Who made that up? And isn't "rhythm and bass" a redundancy? Bass is part of the rhythm.

Which is exactly what I told myself when I downloaded "Like I Love You" the other day. [Sigh.]

Mattie:

--- Quote from: TheCourtJester ---So wait...the same forum of people who chewed peoples asses out for liking Modest Mouse is defending Timberlake?

I like both.

::shrug::

--- Quote from: KharBevNor ---I don't think thats what people are saying. I think they are saying that, in a world full of music as varied and wonderful as a cellar of fine vintage wines, why are you outside on a park bench drinking clear cider.

Ain't no problem in admitting it doesn't taste half bad at times.

And plus, it's so much cheaper and easier to find. Which is how many take their alchohol.

...you like White Cider?

We need Sp2 back here to bust all your asses.

jcknbl:
Timbaland has produced some of the best songs in the past 5 years. It is in no way surprising, wrong or post-ironic that a lot of people who generally avoid mainstream radio music like Justin Timberlake's new stuff. All this anti-establishment b.s. going on here is so simplistic it makes me want to cry and its absurd that anyone willing to take a more complex (read: a post-high school) view of the music industry is acused of being inauthentic.

Gryff:
Thank you, jcknbl. Now everyone else stop being penises, please.
