Keira Knightley is HOT in a pirate hat.

And I thought the ending was brilliant. It was a fun movie.

Maybe he's just a commercial genius? Or a skilled player of company politics?

Dudes, I must be insane because I thought this movie sucked. It was almost 3 hours of random fights. The millwheel bit was retarded. Just get off the fucking thing and fight. Oh wait, then it wouldn't look cool, blah blah. Poor story, a bunch of loopholes. A whole 30 minutes could have been cut out with those island people.

SHIT.

I thought the only bit worth watching was the Jack Sparrow Entrance and the bit with the islander.

Twas a poo movie to be sure.... XD

SPOILERS, OF COURSE

I don't know what you guys were talking about.  That waterwheel scene was the best swordfighting scene I've ever seen (someone'll probably mention a better one and I'll be like "Oh, OK, second best" or something, but seriously, folks, that was amazingly done).  It was almost better than lightsaber scenes in Star Wars movies.  I thought as far as the movie's feel went that scene was perfect and then some.  Talk about entertainment!

The only bit I rolled my eyes at was the fact that after the kraken's attack on the Black Pearl the only people who survived were exactly the same pirates as had been there all along.  Part of what I like so much about the series is the lots-of-different-pirate-characters thing and that doesn't work if you see the same ones all the time because the rest are dying before anyone gets any knowledge of what they're like.

Oh, and that guy with the hermit crab head was the weirdest mix of creepy and awesome I've ever seen.

You know, I was considering the swordfights in The Princess Bride (the "I'm not lefthanded" one was killer as well), and they're close, but honestly the utter ridiculousness of the waterwheel (and the way it was filmed, the angles and editing and everything) really push it over that standard for me.  It's just more ... madcap, extravagant, words like that.  Maybe my appreciation for Mandy Potemkin has been dulled by repeated viewings of his sweet revenge, but the waterwheel scene seemed fresh.  I think the shots of Kiera Knightly watching the wheel roll by with Jack Sparrow chasing it helped a lot.
