I'll second the Sounds, they put on a damn fine live show.
One of my favorite live shows has to be Spinto Band, if you get a chance catch them they're like a bunch of spastic puppies on stage it's outstanding.

Hmm Eyeball kid has pretty much been to everyshow I've ever wanted to really really see... for this I hate you but also adore you for your taste... it's a difficult thing I'm trying to come to grips with.

I must also state that I hate living in Arkansas.
Oh but also,
Cowboy Mouth... you know some of there music is just eh but damn if they don't put on a show.
Southern Culture on the Skids... they give you CHICKEN! Great show.
Th' Legendary Shack Shakers ... oh ... my... god.. what a brilliant show.
The Dempseys ... another great Rockabilly act
and one of my all time favorite shows I've ever attended
Peelander-Z
These guys are some of the nicest insane people I've ever met. And they put on the best Japanese Manga/Action Punk show ever!

Has anyone here seen Alasdair Roberts? I see he's playing a show with the Decemberists that I'd love to go to, but I'm not familiar with him.

Broken Social Scene live are freaking Legends

I read somewhere that they might quit touring?  Anyone back this up?

That would suck, because I NEED to see them live.

If you can go see the Go! Team they're a ton of fun live.

If you see the Go! Team, make sure you take someone with you.  You'll need someone to dance with.

I've been to damned few concerts, and that makes me sad.  They were all fucking mainstream, which makes me even sadder.  But I'll go over 'em for anyone who cares.

Violent Femmes: Saw them play an after-show jam once, for about two hours.  Fucking AWESOME.  I loved the Femmes before, but I WORSHIP them now that I"ve seen 'em live. The instruments they use, and the crowd-baiting, and the ENERGY in that performance...  Awesomeness.  Plus, I have to give mad drummer-props to Victor DeLorenzo.  Sickest, insane drummer I have ever seen.

Bad Religion: Amazing.  Even now.  I saw them at the end of '04, and that was the best concert I've ever been to.  I'm a gigantic BR fan, have been since Sorrow(would have been sooner, but that was before i started listening to music), and I was NOT disappointed by the show.  They played a MASSIVE set, over 40 songs, from across their entire career.  The mosh pit was one of the best I've ever been in, and I got close enough for Greg Graffin to sweat on me. :-D  The energy there was AMAZING, also...  So many pumped and excited people in one room.  And it was nice to have a show where I knew all the words to every song.

Social Distortion: I saw them play in their hometown, so there was a great crowd reaction.  I was kind of distracted by my girlfriend for most of the concert (ah, young love), but what I DID see was awesome.  They liked to fuck with the crowd, and I love that in a band.

Voltaire: Seen him play three times. He has a great schtick, a great feel for the audience, and an amazing style.  A stunning voice and gorgeous face don't hurt either. Fucking funny man, you should check him out.

Wolfmother: ZOMG.  One of the best live shows I've ever been to.  They rocked that stage so fucking hard, my head turned around 360 degrees, Exorcist-style.  I've never seen a keyboardist with so much style, and I'll leave it at that.

Jewel: nothing to say here except that she's fucking HOT.  And she liked my poems. :-D

Muse is fucking fantastic live.  They've won all sorts of acclamations for their live act, and it lives up to its rep.  They have both an elite showmanship and a performance level that many bands probably can't live up to.

I saw them this week in Denver, and will be seeing them in about a week in Philly.  I can't wait.
