IN ORDER!
Heartbreaker is a really good Alt country album, plain and simple. I'd say get it, just because it helps you understand him better, as a musician. It's realllllly country though, so if you can't handle that, stay away. If you're just looking to download a couple tracks, Come Pick me Up, In My Time of Need, and Oh My Sweet Carolina will give you a good feel for the album. To be young is great too, but it's not the records sound as a whole.
Gold is a really great album. I love almost every track off of it, and it's the record that made me like Ryan Adams. Again, it's an alt country album, but it'll surprise you in a couple different places. New York, New York, was a hit for a while, if you're in to that sort of thing. Rescue Blues, Touch, Feel, and Lose, and Nobody Girl are your demo tracks here, if you want them. It's a really great record, not a single song that you'd skip regularly. Highly Reccomended.
Demolition is actually really good. It's not as complex as the other two, but it has a couple of great tracks. It's poppier, easier really, but it's kind of nice, actually. The lyrics on this one are his weakest that I've encountered, but the music is still good. Tennessee Sucks, Dear Chicago, and Chin Up, Cheer Up, are all good. Chin Up is actually one of my favourite Ryan Adams songs, really great mandolin part.
I'll finish this later, I just finished downloading the new bob dylan album, and nothing else is important, currently.
