How is it compared to her Stars stuff? I took a long time even realising that it was her judging by the decadent cover.

Nuance: It is too long if you ask me and it makes it's point at about halfway.

It's not nearly as good.

And yeah, airbrushing can do wonders.

Joseph:
It's completely different from Stars stuff, I wouldn't really compare the two.  I prefer Stars, but I think Amy Millan solo is still wonderful.  But I just remember about the Liars album this year, so Millan will have to be bumped down to number 6 at least, and I'll need to think more about what's come out this year.

Cartilage Head:
I think what you guys think is lacking in Yes,Virginia is the rawness of the self-titled album. Many of the songs in the ST were more merciless and angry, while Yes,Virginia went for something a bit more complex and artsy. Yes,Virginia tops the ST,in my opinion.

Mikendher:
The Amy Millan album isn't as good as her Stars work, but give "Baby I" a listen. It's still rather impressive.

eyepatch:
1. !T.O.O.H.! - Order And Punishment
2. Anathallo - Floating World
3. Helios - Eingya
4. Kaki King - ...Until We Felt Red
5. Tokyo Police Club - A Lesson In Crime
