The "Odd Song Out."

RallyMonkey:
As said before, Swing Life Away - Rise Against, then in the same genre of music, I know that Avenged Sevenfold has one song on an album that I like, and it is just a piano with singing, something about Warmness of the Heart.

I'm not too versed on my Avenged Sevenfold, thankfully.

Then there is also Cabron - Red Hot Chili Peppers

TrueNeutral:

--- Quote from: minkles ---"Float On" by Modest Mouse.  Actually that whole album is very different from the rest of their stuff.

Several songs on that album have the same feel as Float On. The World At Large, Ocean Breathes Salty, The View, etc.

oscard:
May or may not be but, Anthems for a Seventeen year-old girl. Felt like it for me when I first heard Broken Social Scene

Praeserpium Machinarum:
It always seemed to me that Eleanor Rigby was an unusual Beatles song. The string arrangement and the fact that it isn't about love but mortality.

I've Been Thinking is also very out of character for Cat Power.

jcknbl:
I don't think there is such a thing as an unusual Beatles song. Unless they have some noise experimentation I haven't heard yet.
