Actually, I've rarely SEEN you conduct a conversation
that remained civil for very long, but I wont get personal, why do that.

For the record, I was quite sure I DID know what doom was. And you know what? I believe I actually did, you had me confused for a post there,  but I've checked this out further, I've talked to people who really know what doom is. And they all told me I was right in the first place. Doom is a slower, darker style. Depressingly so quite often, which is the intended effect. An ominous style. Black Sabbath had some slower, menacing songs... Notice the word "some"? Quite a bit of what they did was kind of felt more like "rock", but it was heavier than anything before them so it became "metal". You listen to a song by them like "Fairies Wear Boots" and then tell me their doom.

The one who's willingly ignorant is you, you live inside your own little world where you think you know everything there is to know about what is or isn't metal. I swear, you're going to end up- if you arent already, one of those people who sit around talking about how "back in the day, we had real metal." And for the record, when you start calling people idiots... Uh, you're being insulting. Of course, the fact that I think you're insulting doesnt mean I have "a thin skin". I don't give a shit, I just thought I'd point it out.

And I'll format my posts however I want them to be formatted, nice attempt at a personal insult though, too bad this was never supposed to be personal to begin with.

Congratulations on still being a fucking idiot, and on making this far more personal than I ever did. Here's a guy who thinks Demons and Wizards are thrash, Faith No More are Prog and Children of Bodom are MDM telling me I'm ignorant for thinking I know everything about metal. I do despair sometimes, I really fucking do.

Demons & Wizards, if I did what I intended to, were put on both my "thrash" reccomendations and on my "power metal" reccomendations. Because they have a great deal in common with both. Faith No More being prog is a bit of a stretch, but I didn't know where else to put them, I figured it was close enough. So hey, And as for Children of Bodom, if they're not melodic death metal... What are they exactly? Bouncy Death with catchy riffs? Folk metal? Morbidly goofy metal? And you really do seem to think you know everything about metal. Tell me something that makes me wrong about you- something solid, give me anytrhing, and I'll gladly take back ANY or all of what I said about you. I'm not being sarcastic here. I'll take back any remarks about you thinking you know everything or being arrogant.

And I apoligize if I made it a little "more" personal. It was a little hard not to, what with you delving into judging my intelligence. Kind of just came naturally, kind of like you calling me an "idiot" came naturally and wasnt personal or insulting at all.

Damn good band, whatever the hell they are.
