Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

Lego Star Wars 2: the Original Trilogy and Barenaked Ladies Are Me are the only two I can think of

The movie is very good, I liked seeing the new characters and the new setting. It really makes the series even better after watching the movie. I'll probably pick up the DVD as long as it has the Japanese dub. I think they do a much better job voice-wise even though I can't understand it.

I was somewhat pleased and displeased with the film.  Without going into it, I'll say that I think there's definately room for another one if they want to (and I really hope that they do).

Yeah, its getting mixed reviews from fans. I've seen a bit, I'm a huge fan of the english dub. I like the english voices better, which is saying alot because thats not normally the case for me.

I personally loved the series's dubbing, and am expecting good things from the movie. I've seen it in Japanese already, but am excited to see how the dub will be handled.

Also, that trailer is hell of fun. I can't stop watching it. The gypsy song is stuck in my head.

well the trailor is 2 songs, the flemenco guitar song after it says "Epic Anime", really blows me away.

Do you feel, having seen it, it closes out the series well?

i have mixed feelings about it. i bought the english dub yesterday (i love the english voices, i think they did great) and watched it last night and i was pretty into while i was watching it but when it ended i was kind of "hmm....meh" about it. it was a good movie, no doubt about it, but somehow it doesnt feel quite right. i'm not sure what it is. i think i'm gonna re-watch it tonight and make a final decision.

Ah, I thought the movie's concept was pretty cool, but there were somethings that were missing that I really liked about FMA.

Well, more like one.

Alchemy.

I was hoping to see more of Al, and Al's awesome alchemy. Like that tornado made from alchemy - that was awesome stuff. But alas, it mainly centered around Ed. =P

Can't get everything you want, I s'pose. Just sit back and enjoy.

I liked it, but I feel that it was a bit too much closure. I guess I feel that even though it was a wonderful addition, the series ended well in my mind. I guess it kind of felt like a post-series Cowboy Bebop or post-movies Evangelion. It provided closure where the mastery was in not leaving it.
