I play accordion in Beautiful Wang & the Allys, although I don't know how to play.

I actually do know how to play a little guitar.

I have played the trombone for 15 years now...if I ever were to properly motivate myself, I imagine that other brass instrument would cause me little grief, but I am lazy.  I wasn't all that shabby at percussion, provided I only have to hit one thing at a time.  Piano owned my ass, and I still can't play the damned thing.  All the cool "rock" instruments I fail at...

But I can play a damned mean trombone, if I do say so meself.

I think for the most part, a good 10% of the entire forums plays in BW&tA.

I used to play trumpet and piano, I can still do alright on the trumpet if I pick it up, but as for the piano, all I can remember are a smattering of right hand parts for fairly simplistic classical pieces.

At the moment I am playing bass, although not very well. Mostly I am just hoping to start a band with some easy, laid back people and maybe jam over some Beatles songs.

Guitar and piano, primarily, though I dabble in pretty much any instrument I come across. I own electric and acoustic guitars, piano, mandolin, banjo, recorder and Casiotone keyboard. My brother plays drums, and I play those too sometimes. Oh, and my mom owns an accordion.

I played clarinet for seven years, but I haven't for three. I wonder how easy it'd be to just pick it back up? I started teaching myself bass guitar, but like most things I was super into it for a month and then I stopped. I also used to play piano(four years), but I never really got anywhere with it.

I finished 6th grade AMEB in piano but have played only very occasionally in the last few years. I mean to start playing again in the upcoming summer holildays.

Also, an attempt was made to show me how to play guitar once, but it's probably best if we didn't go there.

i learned violin and trumpet first (i was in the school orchestra and had to run over to the other side of the stage in some performances depending on what they needed more of)

then from that i self taught myself the piano upto about grade 1 and a half standard...then it gets too complicated doing two hands and stuff and i just moved onto guitar and have been doing that for about 3/4 of a year focusing more on tabs than reading actual music

i played piano and a tiny bit of trumpet, but they were both so long ago i doubt i'd be able to do anything with either these days.

have been tinkering with circuit bending and tracking on old vidogame consoles, but i don't really think that counts. plus i'm no good.

I played drums for 12 years now (I think). But sadly, I have to stop taking drumming lessons now, because university eats up all my spare time.
I also dabble around a bit with a bass, but I'm not very good. I tried the guitar as well, but as it turns out, my fingers are stupid.

I play:

Guitar (11 years)
Piano/keyboard/organ (2/3 years; none of them well)
Bass (4/5 years)
Drums (not well, but luckily I have rhythm, so I have a knack for it)
Tin whistle (not well)
Percussion (i.e. bongos, shakers, etc.)
Mandolin

As for not playing in Drop D, that's bullshit. Different tunings can be really useful, entertaining and beautiful. Most people who say 'don't play Drop D' just associate with metal, but tons of people use it. I love alternate tunings. My alternate tuning of choice is DADGBD. Drop D is a good one, however, because you can play a fifth chord with your finger and your other three are free to do whatever you want.

My primary instrument is trumpet, and I am also proficient in all of the other brass instruments, including trombone.  I've learned a bit of piano, not very good at it, and I've made an attempt at learning guitar, but I ran out of motivation when the ladies didn't flock at me within ten minutes of picking the thing up.

I'm also a very good vocalist, if I may toot my own horn.  My voice part is baritone, but I can easily sing stuff written for tenors, since I've spent so much time singing along with Steven Page, which has expanded the bejesus out of my range.

In other news, I saw BNL last night at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philly.  Serious glee.  Steve has the best voice in music, in my opinion.

"Anchorless" is by Propagandhi and is off their album "Less Talk, More Rock."  Oh wait, the Weakerthans do have a song called "Anchorless."  It's quite a bit longer than the Propagandhi one.  Funny, I wonder if it's the same song extended and tweaked to the Weakerthans' style, because John K. Samson was still in Propagandhi when "Less Talk, More Rock" came out.  I'll have to do some research.

EDIT: I just found out.  The song has the same theme for both bands.  The opening lyrics are the same, but they differ in the bodies a bit.

Any time I get away from standard tuning, it's either DADGBD or standard, half step down (mainly if I'm playing Moz or old Weezer).

I hardly ever play half-step down. I just think that a semitone isn't worth all that retuning, so even though I know most Weezer songs like the back of my hand by figuring them out without the recording, I hardly ever play along to their songs.

I played violin for like 8 years. Never even got past the second grade. Also did saxophone for a year but I wasn't really that into it. I sing though, pretty well too but I am systematically destroying my vocal chords by singing in a black metal band. Woo for self destructive behavours! \m/

Well i've been playing French Horn for...7 years now i think. i don't keep track. But i'm fairly good at that; i was section leader at my old school and i would have been this year but i moved schools so i couldn't try out.

i play bass, mostly jazz but i did have a hardcore/alt punk/experimental (we really weren't sure what we wanted to play) band going for about 3 months before i moved.

i'm a fairly good singer, i usually sing baritone, but occaisonally my voice will permit me to sing tenor.

I play:
Euphonium
Trombone
Trumpet (Though I have trouble getting above an E)

I understand (meaning I could kind of fumble around with):
Guitar
Keyboards
Bass
Accordion

I wish I could play all of the above better, but I would like to learn harmonica and mandolin.
