The Eyeball Kid:
Thanks.
(Sarcasm? Compliiment? Insult? I dunno)

I will start downloading/buying as soon as I get home from work

Anna Banana:
I doubt you'll like my music, but ah well.

No Doubt-ska/punk/newwave/pop/rock (and their latest album has influences of reggae and dancehall)
Red Hot Chili Peppers-hardcore funk/nu metal/punk funk/newwave
Sublime-ska/punk/reggae/hiphop/gangsta rap/surf/folk
Garbage-electric pop with an oftentimes harder sound..
Blondie-newwave/punk with oftentimes pop/rock disco influenced songs
Incubus-alternative/nu metal
Dance Hall Crashers-third wave/ska pop
Horrorpops-pop punk/rockbabilly/surf

Anna Banana:
I'm really into Metric right now.... Poster of a Girl & Live It Out are good... Garbage songs like Run Baby Run, Why Do You Love Me?, Supervixen.... No Doubt-Spiderwebs, Total Hate, Sunday Morning..

Red Hot Chili Peppers-Fight Like A Brave, On Mercury, Give It Away, Around the World
Sublime-Saw Red feat. Gwen Stefani, What I Got, Doin' Time, Santeria (oftentimes heralded as the "Nirvana of ska")

Blondie-Sunday Girl, Maria

Toots and the Maytals-Monkey Man. feat Gwen Stefani, Reggae Got Soul (its rumored toots and the maytals were the first band to ever use the word "reggae")

Oh and I'm really into Queen right now too, I'm sure everyone knows who they are =P

The Eyeball Kid:
One of the conditions of my last relationship was that I didn't like RHCP

An Aussie sketch comedy show ran a skit about how they always play the same songs. I saw a rerun from 2 years ago, and its even more relevant now!
They do have some good songs, but most of the bands on your list are hard to avoid... and with Incubus I've tried. Note: Don't recomend me nu-metal, because it is not music. Its not even anti-music. Its just wrong.

Gridgm:
hmmm...i just relized no ones recomended spiderland by slint yet
