Oh no, I enjoyed Tactics single player quite a bit, I just think it needed some polish in its gameplay balance from switching between turnbased and real time. I really think a sequel would have fixed every problem i had with it gameplay wise.

It certainly beat the shit out of anything else that had raped the Fallout franchise,

It had a Real Time option with the action points still enabled. The action points would refill at a set pace. Worked amazingly well, but it unfortunately made turn based completely pointless and MUCH much harder if you fought more than 1 opponent at a time.
