I don't think anyone in my collection has ever been on Dischord.

What the hell QC?

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Where are the screes and screes of posts proclaiming dischord to be the best label in existence?

WHERE ARE THEY?

Discord may be the greatest label in existence. The case is strong. There are definitely labels with better bands but in terms of documenting a scene and DIY philosophy they're definitely the top of the heap. Also, Fugazi people? Q and Not U?

The only Dischord bands I have are the obvious ones (Minor Threat, Rites of Spring, Embrace, Fugazi, The Make-Up, Nation of Ulysses, Q and Not U). I suck.

I suck worse than you.  The only Dischord releases I have are Fugazi's 13 Songs and Repeater + 3 Songs, Faraquet's The View From This Tower, and the 20 Years of Dischord Sampler.  That said, I love them all.

Classic Bands
(You fail at music for not owning albums by these bands)

Strangely enough, I feel no urge to commit suicide because I don't and don't plan to own any releases by these bands. Am I a sociopath QC forums? Am I?

I own albums by two bands listed on this page. I would get kind of annoyed just listening to those two bands over and over again. Also I do not think I can go for that long without a TISM fix.

Screw that noise.

I only own some Fugazi (as in, have a CD in my house), but that hasn't stopped me from browsing the Dischord site many times and sighing as I see all the stuff I really want.  Maybe as an end of the school year present I'll blow a bunch of money there, to celebrate my freedom from high-school and all that.

I once enjoyed a Q and not U song but not enough to bother finding out what it was.

I don't own any albums by any of the bands on that list. In fact, I've never actually HEARD OF any of the bands on that list. Furthermore, TISM could belt the piss out of them all, because TISM are legends. They may be wankers, but they're still legends.

By default, we are now friends, even if you haven't heard the delicious stylings of Faraquet.

I was never that big of a fan of many of the artists that were ever signed to this label, but it's far from being a poor label.

Let me see here ... Fugazi, Jawbox, Q And Not U, Minor Threat, Rites of Spring, Nation of Ulysses, Channels, The Crownhate Ruin, Hoover and that's just off the top of my head. I will have to buy more until I own large parts of their catalog, which in my opinion does happen to be chock full of awesome bands. That, is, when I'm rich.
But then again, money alone probably wouldn't help, because the reason I buy albums so slowly is because I feel that if I spend money on an album, I should allow for ample time for it to set in properly. That limits the amount of albums I can buy within a certain time considerably.

Answering the initial question though: Yes.

Dischord and Touch & Go / Quarterstick keep me happy, basically.

I would never want to do listen to everything that has been on Dischord as this would involve sitting through Hoover, Shudder To Think and Q And Not U albums (alright, there was that one good one, but it wasn't even that good and they've been inteminable for years) and I wouldn't want that to happen to me. And there are a lot of bands on that label that are pretty forgettable. I can however easily spend days listening to nothing but my favourite Dischord releases, and along with SST, Touch & Go and Ebullition it's one of the only labels where I'll get pay attention to a band purely because they have a connection.

I guess I should have been more specific.  I tend to like bands on Dischord.  I haven't listened to nearly all of them, but I've liked pretty much everything I've listened to.
